The Ugly Truth

The sun's exquisite light blazes before me
revealing the ugliness beneath all the painted smiles
Knowing there was no way to conceal it
Nor a way to disguise the imperfections
Yet I fell in love with it's light
for I just couldn't resist the temptation to stare
